From Pelicans to Ps
Over the years our group has not changed as much as it has gotten smaller. The original crew was very short lived in its incarnation, but soon became the 4 emcee group "Rusty Pelicans". The emcees at that time were Phantom Channel, Dana Coppa, Mr. Smith and Count Classic, our DJ was Toxic T and, as always, the production was done by S Watson.
The Rusty Pelicans soon became Rusty Ps and featured a new DJ, Tone Capone, and one less emcee, Dana Coppa.
After a couple of years of touring and recording, we switched DJs to the much-talented J Slim. J did some amazing work with us and then moved on to produce scratch and DJ tool albums. Shortly after Mr. Smith also moved on to work on solo projects, and we adopted Madhatter as our DJ. And the story continues...

S Watson has been producing for the Rusty Ps since 1997. All of his released work has been produced using the Akai MPC 2000, except the Rusty Pelicans first release, the "Prototype" single, which was produced using the Akai S-20. According to Watson, "music is love" and he "intends to use it to bring peace to the human family." Watson also plays the voice of humble narrator on much of our written material (like this).
